Line Fire in San Bernardino County Prompts Evacuation Warning
San Bernardino County Fire Department Issues Evacuation Warning for Line Fire
The San Bernardino County Fire Department has issued an evacuation warning for residents in the area of the Line Fire, which is burning near the community of Devore.
The fire was reported at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2023, and has since grown to approximately 500 acres.
The fire is burning in heavy brush and is being fanned by strong winds.
Evacuation Warning Issued for Devore Area
The evacuation warning has been issued for the area south of the 210 Freeway, north of the 215 Freeway, east of the 15 Freeway, and west of Lytle Creek Road.
Residents in the affected area are advised to evacuate immediately.
An evacuation center has been established at the Cajon High School, located at 12955 Phelan Road in Phelan.
Firefighters Battle Line Fire
Firefighters are currently battling the Line Fire and are making progress in containing the blaze.
However, the fire is still burning and there is no containment at this time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
